The connotation, internal structure and teaching path of scientific spirit
-
Abstract
Scientific spirit, as a crucial component in fostering children’s core competencies, develops through multi-layered cognitive progression, social construction, and psychological mechanisms, offering multifaceted educational value for young learners. Structurally, it is grounded in empirical rationality, pursues the ideals of excellence and harmony, and embodies an aesthetic awareness of pursuing perfection. To cultivate scientific spirit, educators should develop a science-themed goal framework aligned with competency structures, establish a coherent curriculum system under the overarching framework of big concepts, and implement interdisciplinary teaching practices rooted in authentic real-world contexts.
