“低潮”到“跃升”:研究生核心能力素养逆袭的影响因素与路径

    From “low point” to “leap”: factors and pathways for the breakthrough in postgraduate students’ core competencies and qualities

    • 摘要: 在教育强国建设背景下,研究生教育质量是国家创新体系的重要支撑。研究生教育规模扩大与内涵建设的协同发展,对研究生教育的高质量发展至关重要。调查发现,研究生阶段核心能力素养呈现先下降再骤升的显著“U型曲线”特征。研一的素养“低潮”对研究生培养质量产生负向作用,缩短“低潮”期对提高研究生教育质量极为关键。质性研究结果表明,个性特征、驱动机制、课程设置、导学关系、评价体系和组织文化六个影响因素是研究生核心能力素养从研一阶段到研二和研三阶段出现“低潮”到“跃升”现象的重要原因。在分析研究生教育适应性低潮原因的基础上,通过设置本科衔接课程缓解角色断层,重构课程体系弥合知识梯度,优化导学关系平衡自主与指导,完善评价机制融合显性规则,营造支持性组织文化,搭建全方位培养路径,全面提升研究生的核心能力素养。

       

      Abstract: As China strives to build a strong nation through education, the quality of postgraduate education serves as a crucial pillar of the national innovation system. The coordinated expansion and connotative development of postgraduate education are essential to its high-quality growth. Survey results reveal that postgraduate students’ core competencies exhibit a distinct U-shaped curve, characterized by an initial decline followed by a sharp rise. The low point in the first year of postgraduate study exerts a negative impact on the overall quality of postgraduate training, and shortening this period is vital for improving educational outcomes. Findings from qualitative research indicate that six factors play significant roles in shaping the shift in postgraduate students’ core competencies from the low point in the first year to the subsequent leap in the second and third years. These factors include personality traits, motivational mechanisms, curriculum design, supervisory relationships, evaluation systems, and organizational culture. Based on an analysis of the causes underlying the initial dip in postgraduate students’ adjustment, this study proposes a comprehensive approach to enhancing students’ core competencies. The proposed strategies include introducing bridging courses to ease the transition from undergraduate to graduate study, reconstructing the curriculum to close knowledge gaps, optimizing the advisor—advisee relationship to balance autonomy and guidance, refining the evaluation system to integrate explicit standards, and fostering a supportive organizational culture. Together, these measures form a comprehensive cultivation pathway to promote the holistic development of postgraduate students’ core competencies.
